This would have been a good discussion if you would have called it out when it happened like I did rather than hold in this resentment to be discussed on a podcast where I cannot provide my perspective. As much as you guys disagree and say your are opened-minded, you have only one perspective being in the majority of a white-straight male. You can only empathize, not sympathize with my situation.

    1. You say pick your battle, but in my personal life the only negativity I hear about being gay comes from you two, so I did choose my battle correctly. Don't confuse pride with being overly sensitive. I called it out for I wanted to enact change.

    2. You guys labeling it a joke does not make it any less offensive. Saying nigger follow by “just kidding!” does not make it funny in any way and it’s the same here. I love to joke around, but I do not see how making it gay makes it funnier for you.

    3. I shouldn’t have to deal with this kind of negativity, jokingly or not, from my close friends. You hear enough shit on the media. I don’t joke about any of the negative aspects in your life. No matter what you say, much of society still deems me as an inferior minority in many regards (asian, gay, etc.) who should not be treated equally is so many aspects. Being gay doesn’t define me, but it’s doesn’t mean I will disregard a comment targeting it. Now that I've moved, I hang out with you guys maybe 1-2 times a year. I shouldn’t have to deal with these childish, homophobic comments/jokes when we meet up.

This is a discussion reserve for face-to-face and not through this channel. Your need for undisputable logic clouds your judgment that some things do not need a clear reason to change. You continue to do something that a close friend has already told you several time offends him. Wonder why he gets upset when it comes up again…

I wished your comedy would grow beyond self-belittlement, objectification, and stereotypes.
